Taking care of mom after her shoulder surgery, thanks to everyone whose lent a hand. I was thinking of John Wayne on the way into the bus stop this morning. Specifially thinking about his generations view of what America is versus the generation(s) just ahead of him. The difference is dramatic. John from all I can see was the king flag waver of his generation, he didn’t act very well, but was the embodiment of the the attitude. I appreciate that. It paved the way for a the next wave of flag wavers. For myself I love America, I loved having dissenting opinion, the idea of America was great when the world wasn’t so connected. We are struggling now with having to be a cog in the bigger machine, for the meantime, a big cog, but that’s changing.
