Whoever can make two ears of corn or two blades of grass to grow where only one grew before, would deserve better of mankind and do more essential service to his country than the whole race of politicians combined– Jonathon Swift (1667-1745)
This being our first year as grandparents forces us to take many many photos…thank god for digital. On December 3rd, Hyrum turned 1 year old. It’s been 25 years since I’ve had a human baby around and it’s fascinating! Watching this little man grow from someone that sleeps all day to a walking, babbling, cake eating person is a true miracle. Join us in wishing our little man happy birthday!
…maybe not. But my power is back on. Jesus I love sweet electricity, as soon as it came on I turned up the heat, started some laundry, turned on the TV, power, power, power.
We got a new iMac. Yes, it is cool.
I’m really happy I figured how to get Josh hooked up here and posting. I had to approve my own comment. Funny.
There are a few movies that I can watch over & over, and I own some DVDs that I’ll only watch once. The last week I’ve watched a few great movies on various channels, so I thought I’d come up with a list of “MUST HAVE” movies, the ones that are always good to re-watch in times of cabin fever:
1:Godfather I & II
2:The Great Escape
3: The Untouchables
4: The Jerk
6: Full Metal Jacket
7: Pulp Fiction
8: Red Dawn
9: Good Fellas
11: The Patriot
This is NOT a TOP list by any means… this is a “greatest in no particular order” list. But these are the movies that I know that I can watch over and over again. Most of these I’ve seen this week! Feel free to add to the list!
Jeez here it is again. These years go faster now. They really go fast the less free time you have. You literally go to sleep one night and wake up 12 months later. November marks the end of year, 1 AW (After Wisconsin). So I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a good thick layer of mental kevlar, more so than anytime BW (Before Wisconsin). Kim and I just bought a new computer (iMac, of course) and I getting everything put together. I’m trying to like Safari and Mail, I’m TRYING! Jobs are going ok. We, I and Her are putting together our lists of what we would like to do in the new year. Tonite it’s cold, really cold, so we brought all the dogs in, their good pooches.
